The
Department
of Education, Culture and Employment supports new and beginning
teachers through the Teacher Induction and Mentorship Program
during their first year of service in the Northwest Territories.
By pairing an experienced Northern teacher with a teacher newly
arriving in the NWT, teacher retention and improved instruction
helps to increase teacher satisfaction while they become
accustomed to their new school and new community.
